Benetton Man Spring 2012 - Explosion of Colors

With the unexpected cold snap in the US and a large part of Europe in the past week, I’m sure many are already yearning for the coming of spring, which for tropical countries like the Philippines, is simply called the dry or warm season. Even for us, early mornings and late evenings have suddenly become cooler.

When I first saw the Spring Summer 2012 collection of United Colors of Benetton Man, I was instantly reminded of grass and lush foliage, or the gentle afternoon sea breeze. The campaign recalls school sports and leisurely weekends. Red, green, blue, and orange are the primary color anchors of the collection: images of youth and of play.

In a few months, we can once again bring out our bright-colored trousers to greet the return of the sun, worn of course with sneakers or espadrilles. And don’t forget colorful knits!

Before long, we can once again set aside the gray and somber colors of winter, muted like the snow.
